Life & Love Through My Eyes by Ramona Jones

During the Summer of 2013, I will be reading and reviewing many of the books published by Freedom Ink Publishing.  I have a personal connection with the Founder & CEO of Freedom Ink and many of its Authors.  They are Bold & Talented and Ready for The World to Discover who they are!

I recommend -  Life & Love Through My Eyes to those that enjoy Love & Poetry.

I had to read Life & Love Through My Eyes twice. Even though the book can be read in one sitting, its contents are to be read slowly, methodically, and with heart & reflection. Oh no, don't be deceived in believing that the poetry of Life & Love is a one way street of the authors viewpoint on these matters of the heart...It is more about the reader to introspect and come up with their own viewpoint on life & love.

This book of poetry reminds us that it is important to STOP & SMELL the roses.

Its reading is broken up into three parts: Life, Love, and The Cycle Repeats.

What I took away from this book of poetry was that Life can be like the the weather & the seasons of which we have no control. We must be "prepared" for life and ready to live it to its fullest with no hesitation. We must live it with Grace, no matter what the season may bring; Riding the storms of life like a surfer upon the waves with success and with the undercurrent being pulled down, later to arise.

The message stared me in the face saying, "You must be whole. You must love yourself so that you can share your life with someone that is also whole." Your Life & Love for yourself is a reflection of the love you share with another.

Of course with the seasons of life & Love there can be beauty and a soft wind blowing while the sun shines upon the flowers of the field, but at the same time turbulence, struggle, heartache and pain can arise in love without that expectation. We go along day by day believing the good will last, however just one element can change its course.

This poetry expresses that Life & Love should be fully experienced with its Joys, Pains and disappointments, but to not stop loving and living...but to renew oneself as the seasons do. To have a new birth as the butterfly begins to emerge from its chrysalis! To fly into the present believing that life is beautiful with all its lessons.

"To live and not have loved is not life at all."
